Dementia Awareness Week 15th-21st May 2016

Most of us will be touched by dementia at some time during our lives and it is vital that we work together to remove the myths and stigma associated with the condition. We must raise awareness and understanding so that those living with dementia, and their carers, receive our understanding and support and are able to continue to be valued members of our community. If you need help and support for you or a loved one or would like to learn more about dementia and the small things you can do to make a big difference to people in our community who are affected by dementia, please come along to one or more of the following:
Monday 16th 10.30-12noon Music & Memories, The Muse 

Tuesday 17th 10.30-12noon Tea, Chat & Activities, MIND, Ty Croeso, St David’s House

11-11.30am Pre-School Storytime Session, Brecon Library 

10am-5pm Ageing Creatively: Workshops & Activities, Theatr Brycheinio
Wednesday 18th 2-3pm Dementia Friends Awareness Session, The Muse 

Thursday 19th 11am-1pm Public Meeting to explore potential for a Brecon Dementia Meeting Centre, Theatr Brycheiniog 1.30-2.30pm Mount Street Infants Storytime Session, Brecon Library

Friday 20th 10am-1pm Coffee Morning/Advice & Information Event, Brecon Guildhall 2pm Brecon Area Dementia Friendly Community AGM, Brecon Guildhall 

Saturday 21st 10am-4pm Bag Packing to Raise Funds, Morrisons
