Have your say - Community Hubs in Powys

Credu (formerly known as Powys Carers Service) has been supporting Carers across Powys since 2003, and currently work with 3,000 Carers across the county.

We can all be Carers at various times in our lives, so it makes a lot of sense for us to do what we can to help each other.

At Credu (www.credu.cymru) they believe that being a committed carer leaves far too many people exhausted, unnecessarily isolated, and without sufficient opportunities for essential recreation and self-expression. They are determined to address this but know this can only be achieved in association with Carers and their communities.

In July 2016 Credu opened their very first charity shop and community hub in Machynlleth. They are now planning to develop additional hub(s) or community enterprises(s) in or near to every key settlement where their staff are based and local carers and their friends and neighbours will find a hospitable place to meet, enjoy a cuppa and a chat, offer support and share experiences. They'd like to see neighbours within their local communities engaging and helping each other.

Your input is key as part of their research and development and they value any feedback and suggestions as to how they could make this happen in your area.
