They have achieved this by changing the way some stations are crewed and by refining some of their business processes. To date they have been able to make savings without negatively impacting on the services they deliver.
Even though they have already achieved this, there is no avoiding the fact that they are entering an even more challenging financial future. They know that as a public sector organisation they are going to have to play their part by looking for further efficiencies. They also know that this may mean making some difficult decisions.
