WCVA are delighted to report that the business case put forward by WCVA in respect of a safeguarding service has been accepted by the Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Children, and supported by several other portfolio areas within the Welsh Government.

Building on the recent successful pilot and in response to comments in the survey from CVCs and the wider third sector, WCVA will continue to offer the valued enquiry service and support the third sector in safeguarding, as well as dedicated good governance support. The service aims to support Third Sector Support Wales partners, in particular through the Safeguarding Ambassadors network, to support CVCs in their work to promote good governance and safeguarding locally.

Joint input from all areas of the sector is welcomed with the aim to develop the best possible sustainable service beyond March 2018.
